here's a new character of myself...i love golden delicious apples. alot. i eat one just about everyday.
here are a few characters from an "alice in wonderland" series i have been working on. more to come!

for those who know me, you know how much i adore okapis. they are the coolest animals in the world! for those who haven't heard of these creatures, they are the only known relative of the giraffe, and they live in the central africa. male okapis have short horns, from the side it appears that there is only one, which is where the nickname "africa's unicorn" comes from. so i decided to start a series, and here are the first couple. also, some funny photos from the columbus zoo. save the okapis!

some happy garden friends...eat your greens!

Who Killed Cock Robin?

these are a few characters i designed from an old nursery rhyme, called "who killed cock robin?"

for those of you that have not heard the story, it goes a little something like this...

Who killed Cock Robin?
I, said the Sparrow,
with my bow and arrow,
I killed Cock Robin.
Who saw him die?
I, said the Fly,
with my little eye,
I saw him die.
Who caught his blood?
I, said the Fish,
with my little dish,
I caught his blood.
Who'll make the shroud?
I, said the Beetle,
with my thread and needle,
I'll make the shroud.
Who'll dig his grave?
I, said the Owl,
with my pick and shovel,
I'll dig his grave.
Who'll be the parson?
I, said the Rook,
with my little book,
I'll be the parson.
Who'll be the clerk?
I, said the Lark,
if it's not in the dark,
I'll be the clerk.
Who'll carry the link?
I, said the Linnet,
I'll fetch it in a minute,
I'll carry the link.
Who'll be chief mourner?
I, said the Dove,
I mourn for my love,
I'll be chief mourner.
Who'll carry the coffin?
I, said the Kite,
if it's not through the night,
I'll carry the coffin.
Who'll bear the pall?
We, said the Wren,
both the cock and the hen,
We'll bear the pall.
Who'll sing a psalm?
I, said the Thrush,
as she sat on a bush,
I'll sing a psalm.
Who'll toll the bell?
I said the bull,
because I can pull,
I'll toll the bell.
All the birds of the air
fell a-sighing and a-sobbing,
when they heard the bell toll
for poor Cock Robin.

some new character designs...

"The Wonder Pets! Save the Honey Bears!" concept art

here is concept art then the final designs for the Wonder Pets episode, "The Wonder Pets! Save the Honey Bears!" that i was asked to design. the episode is supposed to be reminiscent of the saccharine cartoons of the 1980's (which i adore), such as The Care Bears, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite. in this story, the Wonder Pets travel to Happyland Forest to teach the Honey Bears how to share. for the final product, the Honey Bears and the Forest Friends were drawn and animated in Flash by Andy Kennedy, Joe Bodnar and my myself.

i've been trying some new styles...more painterly, and the dinosaurs i made from cut paper...

here's a couple more...

this fun sequence is based on my old roommate's cat, oscar. he was a bit of a terror, but that's ok.

ok, so my blog is up now! i cancelled my website because it was too expensive and a pain to update, so hopefully this blog will work out. it seems simple enough. here are some of my character designs, i will try to update frequently. i mostly create characters and animate, but i also enjoy painting and creating cut paper collages. currently i am an animator and freelance designer at Little Airplane Productions on the hit preschool show, the "Wonder Pets!".
